    European Heritage Days

    From September 20, 2014 to September 21, 2014

Nature and architecture come together in harmony.

Every year since 1984, the French Ministry of Culture kicks off the "rentree" or beginning of the autumn season in style, offering all kinds of activities allowing you to discover the history of buildings and art that make up the wealth of Frenchcultural heritage.

In Paris, some of the most popular visits include the Elysée Palace, the Senate or the Hotel de Matignon which open to the public for this occasion. This event also takes place throughout the rest of France (and in 49 other countries since 1991!). You can visit public buildings (departments, theaters, town halls...) and privately owned buildings (villas, castles, factories...) which will open the doors of their collections and invite you to unusual and original tours which are usually free of charge.

This year's theme for 2014 "Cultural heritage, natural heritage," invites us to discover the links between cultural heritage and the surrounding environment, whether mineral, vegetal, urban, coastal or pastoral.
